ACB has many state affiliates. Some are fairly new and others older than ACB itself. One of the latter is the Missouri Council of the Blind. Terry has been on quite a learning journey these last four weeks. “I have experienced so many myths and attitudes on both others parts and my own. I have had a lot of time to think and draw some unexpected conclusions regarding the world’s views on blindness and low vision”. Where do fault, blame, and frustration lie? What can we do to reduce these negatives and become happier more well-rounded human beings? These are just a few of the pools we can dive into with my special guest, Pam Shaw, Chair of the ACB Mental Health Committee. I know this will be a great meeting of all our minds with a bit of humor mixed in.
